What are thoughts to you?(3 mins)

Standard

All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts
and made up of our thoughts. If a man speak or act with an evil thought, suffering follows him as the wheel follows the hoof of the beast that draws the wagon…. If a man speak or act with a good thought, happiness follows him like a shadow that never leaves him.
Gautama Buddha

I think they are things. How? It must be created in the mind.

Remember the Jakie Chan movie “who am i” where he lost his memory?
Now, imagine for a moment that you have lost your memory. You have forgotten who you are and everything you have or don’t have. You know nothing about yourself. Ironically, it’s a good thing. You now have a great opportunity to recreate yourself!

Thought creates character.
-Annie Besant

Thoughts become things when they are given substance with feelings in the Mind. Thoughts are the DNA of the Universe. They contain the information that gives form to our physical life experience. Without feeling or substance, we would not be able to perceive the thought forms in our Mind. The feelings we use to give substance to, the thoughts in our Mind come from one of two sources: fear or Love. Thoughts that are given substance with fear based feelings such as anger, frustration or anxiety, which will become things (physical life experience) that we experience as “negative” or “bad”.
Money is no reason to why you can’t make it happen. You have all the resources you need at your disposal. There are no restrictions. You can make your new life whatever you want it to be by just drawing your future.

In your hands will be placed the exact results of your thoughts; you will receive that which you earn, no more, no less. Whatever your present environment maybe, you will fail, remain, or rise with your thoughts, your wisdom, desire, as great as your dominant aspiration.~James Allen

Here are some questions that begs your answer. Take out time to answer them you can pen your answers down and later connect the dots.

1. Who are you?
2. What do you do?
3. What will you like to be remembered for?
4. How can you make that happen?
5. Where do you live?
6. What car do you drive or want to drive?
7. What clothes do you wear?
8. Who are your friends?
9. How do you spend your time?
10. What is your purpose in life?
11. In whose life are you making a difference?

Create a detailed picture in your mind of what you want to be. Let your imagination go wild.

Don’t hold back anything. Don’t regard anything as impossible. Just fill your mind with all the possibilities. Don’t be vague about it, be specific.

If you did this simple exercise you should be feeling very excited right now. As lunatic as it may sound, the truth is you are free to create the life you want at any time you choose to. The power to create has been yours all along. You just need to Accept who you are.

Thanks for reading. So, what are thoughts to you?

Thoughts – in my view and experience – are forms built to either provide comfort or resistance based on fears including past experiences which a person has not overcome. People cling to memories and the past to build obstacles or walls without realizing it is also preventing them access to the very things they need or desire. I have done this myself. With this in mind, people also limit themselves with labels or the vision of what they see, hear, etc. in a mirror or reflection from others – positive or negative. With a lot of care, love, and meditation I have come to become nothing – freeing myself of the forms form myself or from others – and everything *smiles* meaning I am so much more there are no words. I am as vast as the galaxies of stars strewn across the universe unseen and unknown – even this is small compared to the potential of ‘me’. I hope this makes sense. I am everything and nothing. Two words simply used to express what words cannot encompass.

  1. Thanks for including my article here on drawing your future. This is a great article and, like you said, doing the exercise to build this perspective leaves me with an amazing feeling. I want to keep revisiting it regularly for motivation. But I also have those days where I feel lost and would draw a blank when it comes to asking myself such questions. In that case, I just have to hang in there till I can get on my feet again.
